Be a part of Portland's very first Community Investment Trust! Join us at Mercy Corps’ Plaza 122 to make way for rain gardens and naturescaping.
The Depave organization is working with community leaders to transform a giant paved parking lot into a sustainable green oasis in a busy multicultural shopping center. Help remove asphalt and prepare the site for fall planting, and learn about the environmental and social benefits of removing pavement and adding green infrastructure.
Everyone is welcome to this all-ages event. Event hosts will provide gloves and all required tools as well as snacks and drinks. A shuttle departing from the PNCWA Conference hotel, The Double Tree Hotel Lloyd Center, will pick you up at 9:15 AM to ensure you will be able to attend the volunteer orientation and warm-up starting promptly at 10:00AM.
Please dress for the weather (bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, raincoat, etc.). Due to the physical nature of pavement removal, CLOSED-TOED SHOES ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE and long pants are highly recommended.

- 2:00PM: Work party ends; Narrated Shuttle Tour on the way back to the hotel of some Green Space Initiatives in East Portland by the PNCWA Stormwater Committee members.
- 4:00PM Join volunteers for refreshments at a local establishment near the hotel.

By finalizing your registration, you accept this waiver and release of liability for participants on behalf of yourself and any other PNCWA2019 Stormwater Service Project event participants included in this registration form.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the PNCWA2019 Service Project I agree to assume all risks inherent in participation in such program, whether they are apparent to me or not. I acknowledge that participation carries an inherent risk of injury to my person and damage to my property. I hereby waive and release, for myself and for my heirs and assigns, any and all claims, causes of action, or liabilities which may hereafter accrue against Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association (PNCWA), and its affiliates, their agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, successors and assigns, and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the PNCWA2019 service project, including any and all claims for personal injuries caused by PNCWA’s negligence.
Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of these events for any legitimate purpose, including promotional advertising, without monetary payment to me.
